CinemaCon 2022 has already proven to be a gold mine for all things DC, but the recent presentation of 'Black Adam' may take it even further.

It's hard to believe, but it looks like DC's longest-developed project is finally coming to fruition – yes, we already knew that 'Black Adam ' would premiere this year, but hearing other people's reactions to the actual footage is another matter entirely.

Dwayne Johnson 's dream project will tell the origin story of Shazam's biggest foe, an ancient villain who possesses powers similar to those of Zachary Levy's character. In addition to Black Adam, the upcoming film will feature several DC superheroes and villains whose appearance in the DCEU seems long overdue, including Hawkman, Dr. Faith and the Atom Smasher.

But let's get back to the CinemaCon. According to Screen Rant, in the trailer shown at the convention, Adam regains his electric powers and throws off some rockets in the process. More excitingly, the Justice Society of America finally appears, Hawkman is seen flying, Atom Smasher running down the street in his giant form and Cyclone doing some intelligence work abroad of unidentified ship.

Footage ends with Adam showing that he is definitely not a hero by hitting the guy so hard that he flies off into the sky and dies.

Fans are more than excited that Johnson will finally embody the DC antihero, and those who have seen the trailer praise it for being "dark" and "dangerous".

'Black Adam' will arrive at theatres on October 21, 2022.
